The closure of Bethungra Public School has opened the way for a tourism experience rich in culture and heritage like no other!
Bethungra Olde School T-House is an ideal location for a ‘coffee break’ while on the road between Cootamundra and Junee.
Little ones are encouraged to draw on the original school chalk boards; a timeless children’s activity.
As well as serving delicious coffees, teas and tasty treats, owners Gaylene and Garry Crabtree showcase a range of locally produced items such as jams, chutneys and hand-crafted gifts for you to take with you on your journey.
A highlight of the T-House is the Memorabilia Room, in which the original letter of the first settlers who requested to start building the school is housed, dating back to 1845.
Stroll amongst the blooming gardens and water features, or delve into the historic display. What ever your choice, this is a rest stop you will never forget.
